  10. Bring to the boil, then reduce to medium low and simmer for 20 minutes.
  11. Take the pan off the heat and allow to cool.
  12. After the sauce is cool, strain the sauce into a bowl. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
